The Creighton Model System (CrMS) is based on over 30 years of research conducted by Dr. Hilgers and co-workers in the field of reproductive medicine and allows women to understand their fertility and value, monitor and maintain it.
Since 1985 Dr. Hilgers' research work is based at the Saint Paul VI Institute in Omaha-Nebraska
As a consequence of this scientific research, a new science has developed, called NaProTechnology, which stands for Natural Procreative Technology.
It is built upon the CrMS and works cooperatively with the woman's natural cycle.
Through NaProTechnology new hope is given to couples who suffer from infertility, who can be treated without going through artificial fertilization.
It is extremely helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of medical issues such as:
- Menstrual cramps
- Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
- Ovarian cysts
- Irregular or abnormal bleeding
- Polycistic ovarian disease
- Repeated miscarriages
- Postpartum depression
- Hormonal abnormalities
- Chronic discharges
